Note, in 1911 Eliza claims to have been married for 19 years - I suspect this was to spare Mabel and Gladys sensibilities as in fact marriage occured in 1895 September thus only 15 or so years!
Now, I'm rethinking, as Thomas was a widower when he married Eliza, assume now that Mabel and Gladys were from a previous marriage
