John Voce
In 1844 Ann is living in swansea as Ann Gibbs Sayer, by 1851 A william J Voce is living in Birmingham with wife and daughter - commerical traveller in 1861 william is a widower with 3 children and a sister cecilia IGI has both of these people as baptized in St Phlips the children of Thomas Voce and Ann Hapstone. The marriage cert of John and Ann states Thomas as a father. The IGI has William Joseph, but that may be a mistranscript note that John is stating he is a widower when he marries Ann, suspect another bigamist here! - commercial travellers seemed to be noted for it! In 1841 William Voce is living with his mother Ann, poss sisters amelia and cecilia appears to be a traveller. What we have no way of knowing is, is this the same William (poss John) Voce as the one who marries Ann Gibbs? John married Ann Gibbs Sayer, daughter of William Kerwood Sayer and Anne Gibbs, on 26 Nov 1839 in Swansea, , Glamorgan, Wales.1 2 (Ann Gibbs Sayer was born on 16 Jun 1822 in Rotherfield Sussex, England 3 4 5 6, christened on 19 Jun 1822 in Rotherfield Sussex, England and died on 7 Mar 1882 in Swansea, , Glamorgan, Wales 5 6 7 8.) The cause of her death was Heart Disease - 6mths and Dropsy - 30 days. John next married Unknown. (Unknown died before 1839.) |
